BK lauds client collaboration as customer service week comes to a close

Bank of Kigali (BK) on October 6 concluded the Customer Service Week by visiting and expressing appreciation to its clients in Gicumbi District, sharing moments of joy and gratitude. BK staff led by CEO Dr. Diane Karusisi dedicated time to visit customers in Gicumbi District, fostering stronger partnerships and gaining insights into their progress. This included a visit to Blessed Dairies in Rubaya Sector, as well as meetings with the Catholic as well as Anglican dioceses of Byumba located in Byumba Sector. Subsequently, a forum was held at Urumuri Hotel, where the bank engaged with key customers involved in significant business activities. They celebrated their collaboration and the bank showcased a range of products and services, while also listening to feedback from the clients. Karusisi highlighted that throughout Customer Service Week, BK staff actively engaged with various customers nationwide to express gratitude and seek feedback for further enhancement of their services. In Gicumbi District, the bank serves approximately 7,000 business-oriented customers. It has provided a total of Rwf 5.7 billion in loans to support their endeavors. This demonstrates the tremendous potential within this District. What truly gratifies us is the commendable loan repayment behaviour exhibited by the customers, with low delinquency rates compared to other regions, Karusisisi remarked. She urged them to embark on more ambitious ventures and other initiatives that foster the district's growth, emphasising the importance of collaboration to attain the objectives with the bank’s backing. Karusisi underscored the significance of embracing technology. Our commitment extends to enhancing our technological capabilities. In the near future, even loan applications will be submitted through your mobile devices. This will speed up the process and promote further development, she said. Ferdinand Karake, the Advisor to the Governor of Northern Province, expressed gratitude to the bank for its role in uplifting the people of Gicumbi. He reminded BK's customers that the journey ahead is still long, urging them to initiate more projects that contribute to the development of the district and its residents and to consider securing loans from BK to implement the initiatives. Karake encouraged them to work together in unity, emphasising the importance of coming together without any divisions, as such collective effort would accelerate progress. He stressed the need for both businesses and BK to continually enhance their services. Milton Ngirente, the owner of Blessed Diaries, has been dealing with BK for over 15 years. BK provided him with a loan of approximately Rwf 500 million to establish the factory and commence operations. Currently, the facility processes 8,000 litres of milk daily to produce various dairy products. Ngirente commended BK's understanding of agricultural businesses and described BK's services as intelligent. He encouraged the bank to keep approaching fellow entrepreneurs to enhance their services collectively.
