INDORWA cricket club yesterday eased into the finals of this year’s UAE exchange and Xpress Money 50-overs premier league at Kicukiro cricket ground after defeating Kigali cricket club by 6 runs. Indorwa won the toss and opted to bat first making 124 runs in 30.4 overs all out. Kigali cricket club chased and put a competitive run of 119 in just 33 overs all out. However they were humbled by Indorwa’s spinner Fred Ndayisaba whose bowling skills brought back his team into the game. Thanks to the great partnership between Vicky Prajapati and Denis Taga Mukama who made 27 and 15 runs respectively. But Indorwa captain Mihir Solanki has cautioned his teammates not to lose focus as they prepare for Right Guards in the final on Sunday. “We have worked as a team and this has been key to our success and we hope to carry this form into the finals,” he said. Hassan Zaki, Kigali Cricket Club captain, said the team needed to improve on their batting. “We set very few runs because of our poor batting and that could easily be covered in less than 30 overs.” Indorwa will take on Right guards on November 23 at Kicukiro Cricket ground.
