Editor, How can you ask people to save between 5 and 6 per cent when inflation is also in the same range? With all respect to banks and the line ministries, I need someone to convince me more. My opinion; the Government of Rwanda needs to allow more informal businesses where every earned income should have a business side. First of all, this will allow creation of jobs and then more taxes will be collected. Most of our businesses can’t compete at the regional or international level because of weak supply chain. Few people have a monopoly on some products and when these “chosen” people fail, the whole sector sinks with them.
