Rwanda U23 national team beat Goma Volleyball Club 3-0 in a warm-up game played on Sunday at Amahoro Indoor Stadium. Paul Bitok’s boys won the first set 25-15, the second set 25-20 and the third set 25-16. The match was supposed to be played on Saturday but was postponed on Sunday due to a power cut at the venue. The Rwanda team was using the match as part of their preparation ahead of the upcoming U23 African Volleyball Championships slated for November 5-13 in Sharm El Sheik, Egypt. The team is set to travel to Kenya next week where they will play three friendly games against Prisons, GSU and Cooperative Bank before flying to Cairo for the final warm-up match against Egypt U23 side on November 3. Bitok will name the final 12-player team on Tuesday before departing for Nairobi.
