Rwanda Basketball Federation (Ferwaba) is planning to build a gymnasium estimated at Rwf380m. According to the federation president, Desire Mugwiza, construction of the gymnasium will start next year once sponsorship is secured. “We did a feasibility study on the cost of the project and we will send it to the Ministry of Sports before securing land. After that we have a list of potential sponsors who we will approach with an offer,” Mugwiza said but without giving more details. Rwanda has seven gymnasiums which include: Lycee de Kigali, Amahoro Indoor Stadium, NPC Gymnasium, Kimisagara Youth Sports Centre, Group de la Sale (Byumba), UR (National University of Butare) and Green Hills Academy.
