The U23 boys’ volleyball national team has started training ahead of the upcoming African Championships, scheduled for November 5-13 in Sharm El Sheik, Egypt. The provisional squad of 19 players started non residential training on Monday and will run until Saturday before entering residential camp on Sunday, October 12. Head coach Paul Bitok will name the final 12-player team on October 28. The team is scheduled to have four warm-up games, starting on October 30 in Nairobi against Kenyan giants Prisons, GSU and Cooperative Bank before flying to Cairo for the final warm-up match against Egypt U23 side on November 3. The two finalists at the continental championships will qualify to represent Africa in the FIVB Men’s U23 World Championships 2015, which will be hosted by Brazil from October 6-13.
