Two Pakistanis were crowned the best exhibitors at the just concluded mini-expo in Musanze District. The expo, that ended on Monday, attracted over 150 exhibitors from Rwanda and beyond. The Pakistanis, who shared a stand, exhibited an assortment of products that included shoes, jewellery and household items. Sheikh Waseen, one of the two Pakistanis, said the conducive business environment attracted him to Rwanda. “I was advised to come and explore this market. I have liked the place and plan to open up a permanent shop here,” Waseen said. The president of Private Sector Federation in the Northern Province, Jean-Damascène Munyankusi, said despite the language barrier, the duo did a good job during the expo. Another exhibitor Simon Kanyora, from Kenya, commended the exhibition but challenged the organisers to do more advertising in various media outlets so that more people can participate in the future. Aime Bosenibamwe, the Northern Province governor, urged businesses to be more creative in the way they showcase their products.
