“We’re organising a three-day trip to Bujumbura where the team will play two friendly matches ahead of the local 2014/2015 season. The two games will help to put our players in competition mood ,” Mukura’s secretary general Emmanuel Ntakirutimana told Times Sport on Sunday. Jean Baptiste Kayiranga’s side will play against Atletico FC handled by their former coach Cedric Kaze and another match against a yet to be named side, but it’s likely to be Vital’O. Kayiranga joined Huye-based Mukura in late June and has been tasked to take the team back into the top four after finishing in the eighth place of the 14-team league last season. Mukura will start their 2014/15 league campaign away to Espoir FC in Rusizi District on October 18.
