Today Women RRA vs St Alloys APR vs Ruhango Men APR vs KVC Rayon Sports vs INATEK RAYON SPORTS Volleyball Club head coach Fidèle Nyirimana has his eye set on winning this year’s Carre d’As tournament, which is scheduled for this weekend. The Nyanza-based Rayon take on Inatek in the semi-final and league champions APR will be up against Kigali Volleyball Club in the other game. In the women category, league champions Rwanda Revenue Authority take on St Alloys and APR face-off Ruhango—all games will be played at Kimisagara Youth Sports Center today while the finals will be held at Amahoro indoor stadium on Sunday. Nyirimana, who led the National University of Rwanda to the league title of 2013 before crossing to newly formed Rayon Sports, is confident his team can win the two-day tournament but admits it will take them an extra effort to achieve their objective especially after losing three key players recently. Players that have left Rayon in recent weeks include; Nelson Murangwa, who is undergoing professional trials in Japan, team captain Eric ‘Machine’ Nsabimana and setter Ivan Nsabimana Mahoro who both went for further studies in Netherlands and Russia respectively. “Our target is to win the tournament but the absence of my three key players will surely be a big blow to our hopes, especially if we meet APR in the final because they are the top team at the moment and have been doing so well through the season,” admits Nyirimana.
