LEADERS RAYON SPORTS volleyball club head coach Fidele Nyirimana is almost certain rivals APR will clinch the title. Rayon are at the summit of the league log with 30 points, three ahead of APR, who have four games to go, while the former have just one game remaining. During the seventh match day action on Sunday, Rayon Sports registered crucial wins over Umubano Blue Tigers (3-0) and Groupe Scolaire Officiel de Butare (3-0) at Kimisagara playground. Speaking to Times Sports, Nyirimana said his side is far from winning this year league. “It is not easy to assert that we will win the 2014 Volleyball championship because our rivals APR are well placed to be crowned champions if they win all their matches,” he said. “We are focused on winning our last league fixture against St Joseph and wait to see if our rivals can flatter which I think is very impossible,” he revealed. APR have games against Lycée de Nyanza, UR-Huye, St Joseph and Inatek. Meanwhile, Nyirimana will be hoping to win Coupe du Rwanda and Care d’As tournaments.
