Arsenal fans have been yawning and crying to end their team’s trophy-less stint and just feel time has come to taste glory. Our God is a proportionate God that tests patience in all ways. Likewise, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been patient for a long time to go through difficult times for his team’s poor performances in the previous seasons. The Gunners are among the teams tipped to win the 2014-2015 Barclays Premier League title based on their brand of football, experience manager and philosophy as well as quality and, strength of the team. I agree with most of soccer pundits that Arsenal weaknesses in the past hinged on the depleted squad or limited size of their senior squad. Arsenal hardly made major signings in comparison to their potential English opponents like Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United especially following big billionaires’ investments in these football clubs. Arsenal’s patience, player transfer or recruitment policy has helped them build a steady and strong team. Due to constraints, they had to sell in order to buy new players and perhaps this is the reason why Wenger capitalized on free players or loan players who sometimes failed to meet their performance expectations. Also limited squad size was heavily affected by injuries. Wenger has on several occasions been forced to play inexperienced players in the champions’ league, Barclay’s Premier League and FA Cup due to injuries and exhaustions from senior players. Last season, Arsenal missed important players like Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere among others who were absent big part of the season due to injuries. Coach experience and philosophy It takes a fool-hardy to deny the rich Arsene Wenger’s experience in English football. He is one of the current top managers in English football and with good pedigree especially in Barclay’s Premier League. He was a close competitor to Manchester united retired legend Sir Alex Ferguson for over 15 years. Arsene Wenger is currently the most established manager in English football as compared to his opponents. Manuel Pellegrini only arrived last season at the club where as Jose Mourinho has just returned to Chelsea while Louis Van gaal is still gambling with Manchester United problems. Wenger knows his team very well and seems to understand the demand of Arsenal fans though he has taken a long time to answer the problems and demands of the football club royalists. Arsenal and Coach Arsene Wenger’s philosophy is built on discipline, quality and physical fitness of players as well as the offensive style of play. The current squad does posses the above mentioned qualities. They have versatile players in almost all positions that will make the team stronger this season. Arsenal’s transfer and recruitment policy seem to have worked well especially on financial terms as the club has been able to stabilize its financial status without new investments from world’s billionaires. Quality and strength of the team in depth New arrivals Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona, Mathew Debuchey from Newcastle and return of Joel Campbell from Olympiakos will certainly improve the quality of the team. Return of key players like Aaron Ramsey and Theo Walcott from injury is a huge boost for Arsene Wenger’s side. Arsene Wenger’s rotation policy will by no means overcome exhaustion and injuries that have hindered the club to win trophies in the past seasons. The quality of the players at the club will also improve through increased competitiveness. In attack, Joel Campbell, Yaya Sanogo, Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez have the fire power to score enough goals for gunners to win trophies. Arsenal possess better experienced players in attacking positions as compared to its opponents and perhaps only Chelsea can match them with summer arrivals Diego Costa from athletic Madrid and return of Didier Drogba. The midfield dynamos Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla, Michael Arteta, Jack wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott and Oxlande Chamberlain will make Arsenal very difficult to stop from scoring. Arsenal is likely to score more goals than any other premier league team that might help them win the premier league title since 2004. Good performance during Community Shield against Manchester city should provide warning to big Barclay’s Premier League opposition.
