Editor, When a local football team like Rayon Sports meets another in Rwanda, the enthusiasm and fan craze for support is less compared to, say, when Chelsea meets Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. Why are we not supporting local football? When our clubs and national team exhibit dismal performance in competitions, we are always first to blame the coaches and the teams, forgetting that they need our support for moral confidence to perform better. It is a fact that most teams performing well in international and continental football such as Nigeria, Cameroon and Ghana have good home support, and it is that morale, coupled with adequate preparations, which act as their formula to succeed. This is a call for people to showcase patriotism by show love for local football; it helps to build confidence and support for local talent. Barack Oduor, Rwanda
