THE RWANDA Volleyball Federation (FRVB) has concluded a two-week training camp which attracted 40 boys and girls under the age of U15. The kids (20 boys and 20 girls) concluded the camp on Thursday at Petit Seminaire Virgo Fidelis de Karubanda, under the tutelage of Paul Bitok and Jean Marie Nsengiyumva. The aim of the camp was to develop the sport from the grassroots so the country can have a large pool of young players from where to select national team players in the future. Closing the camp, head coach Paul Bitok said, “It’s important to motivate young players, and make sure that their talents and potential don’t go to waste,” “This is the only way we can steadily develop the game, if they continue with what they are doing, Rwanda will eventually shine on the world stage,” said the Kenyan. He told the youngsters: “I see some of you representing Rwanda in the 2016 youth competition. You are just at the beginning with a whole future ahead of you; I believe you have a chance to be the best you can be.
