MIDFIELDER Djamar Mwiseneza has joined league champions APR FC from archrivals Rayon Sports on a two-year contract. It is reported that the army side paid the 28-year old Rwanda international Rwf5 million as sign-on fee, with sources saying that he will be earning a monthly salary of about Rwf400, 000. Mwiseneza, who started his playing career with Rayon Sports, showed up at APR training at Ferwafa turf in Remera, on Wednesday, ahead of the Cecafa Kagame Cup kickoff today. APR begin their Kagame Cup campagn tomorrow, against Group B opponents Atletico of Burundi. Mwiseneza had been at Rayon for his entire career. He featured in the club’s junior team for two years (2005 and 2006) before earning promotion to the senior team in 2007. He will be hoping to win his first Cecafa Kagame Cup with his new team, which has won the annual regional club championship three times before – in 2004, 2007 and 2010.
