Rayon Sports take on visiting DR Congo’s side DC Virunga in their first pre-season match today at Kigali Regional Stadium, kickoff at 3:30pm. The friendly is the first real opportunity for Rayon’s new head coach Jean François Lusciuto to watch his players in a competitive match ahead of the next month’s Cecafa Kagame Cup. CECAFA Kagame Cup 2014 is scheduled for August 8-24 and the country will be represented by three giants namely Rayon Sports, APR and Police FC. Rayon sports FC are drawn in pool A, alongside 2012 champions Young Africans of Tanzania, Coffee of Ethiopia, Atlabara of South Sudan and KMKM of Zanzibar. The opening match of the tournament will see 1998 winners Rayon up against five-time winners Tanzania’s Young Africans sports club.
