The Rwandan national U-23 side will leave Kigali on September 18 for their AFCON qualifier against Libya. Rwanda will face the North African team on September 22 with the second leg slated for the Huye Stadium five days later as both countries seek to scale the first qualifying hurdle. Ferwafa released a 25-man squad on Wednesday evening for the qualifier. The team will be coached by Yves Rwasamanzi with Gorilla FC’s Moussa Gatera as his assistant. The winner of the two legs will lock horns with Mali in the final qualifying stage for next year’s CAF U-23 AFCON slated in Morocco. Four teams from that competition will make it to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
