POLICE HANDBALL club has maintained its inevitable record as they clinched the 2014 Liberation Handball Cup, their third trophy of the year. The law enforcers beat rivals APR in a tight game to register a 19-15 win in the final. Head coach Antoine Ntabanganyimana told Sunday Sport yesterday, “APR is a good team with outstanding pedigree in handball therefore defeating such a team with a good history makes us happy.” Liberation cup comes after Labour Day and the Genocide commemoration, all won in May and June this year. Despite the success, Police still yearn for more trophies. They are also in contention for the national championship.
