Adrien Niyonshuti kept his lead intact yesterday after winning stage four (Huye-Karongi) of this year’s Tour de Rwanda. The 21-year-old clocked 3 hours, 56 minutes and 52 seconds beating defending champion Abraham Ruhumuriza by 65 micro seconds to take a giant step towards his second grand tour victory. After a spirited display on the toughest stages (Kigali-Cyanika-Kigali) of the 9th Tour de France, Niyonshuti who rides for Team Rwanda A is in a good position to win the tour. The other cyclists in the top five slots yesterday included Nathan Byukusenge who finished third (3:56:52:97), surprise package Godfrey Gahemba who came fourth (3:56:53) and Obed Ruvogera who clocked 3:57:13 to finish fifth. Today, the cyclists will ride from Karongi to Huye in stage five covering a distance of 134 km. Ends
