THIS YEAR’S Tour of Rwanda cycling race will cost the organisers, Rwanda Cycling Federation an estimated Rwf400m. The budget has increased by over Rwf28m compared to last year. “We have increased the budget to have a better and more attractive competition, and we hope with more money injected, even the standards will improve,” the federation Permanent Secretary Emmanuel Murenzi told Times Sport. He noted, “The good thing is that we have got sponsors, so we expect everything to be better and we are expecting more sponsors because we have room for them.” The sponsors for this year’s event include; Ministry of Sports and Culture (Minispoc), Rwanda Development Board, Skol Beer, Cogebank, Soras, MoneyGram, SebaMed, Brussels Airlines, Canal+, Rwanda Television, SuperSport, TV5Monde, Gasps Media LTM, Ameki Color, Rwanda National Olympic Committee, Minimex and SP.
