RWANDA football Federation (Ferwafa) is yet to receive any official request from Indonesia Football Association over a possibility of playing a friendly match with Amavubi. The Indonesia Football Association Secretary General Sefdin Syaifudin told their local media on Monday that a friendly match between their national team and Amavubi had been confirmed for June 25. The Indonesian national team is engaging in several build-up matches as they prepare for the Asian Games which will be held in Incheon, South Korea, from September 17 to October 4. The Ferwafa Secretary General Jean Olivier Mulindahabi told Times Sport yesterday, “We are yet to receive any communication from Indonesia regarding the friendly match. Even the head coach Stephane Constantine is unaware of the news.” Amavubi Stars will face Congo Brazzaville in the final preliminary qualifying round of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Morocco. Congo set up the tie after they thrashed Namibia 3-0 in the second leg match on Sunday. Namibia won the first leg 1-0. Congo will host the first leg on the weekend of July 18–20. Constantine’s Amavubi team must avoid conceding goals in Congo before hosting the second leg in Kigali two weeks later.
