Saturday NFF 1-1 Kagarama SS This year’s Ndayisaba Fabrice Foundation (NFF) Genocide memorial tournament got underway on Saturday and it will run until June 22 at Kicukiro ground. The opening match of the four-team tournament pitted organisers Ndayisaba Foundation against Kagarama secondary school on Saturday which ended 1-1. By press time, High Hill Academy was due to play GS Nyanza. The U16 memorial tournament, spearheaded by the 19-year-old Ndayisaba, was inaugurated in 2010 and this is the fourth edition. The tournament is organised in a bid to pay tribute to the sportsmen and women but most importantly children, who lost their lives during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. The return-leg matches are slated for Saturday, while winners of the two-legged ties will meet in the final on Sunday. Ndayisaba Fabrice foundation is a non-governmental organisation that was founded in 2009 by Ndayisaba to help children come together through sports. Currently, the umbrella body comprises over 150 children.
