Editor, REFERENCE IS made to Sunny Ntayombya’s article, “Keep your religions to yourself” (The New Times, May 25). I agree in part with Mr. Ntayombyas humanistic approach on matters of faith and reason. However, the writer should be reminded that God is his causal reason to exist. Yes, religion has been misinterpreted and abused due to reasons other than ignorance and selfishness, but leaving God out of equation doesnt help at all; instead, it creates a vacuum in lasting human pain and suffering. If Mr. Ntayombya can advocate his political views, why does not anyone else have the right to advocate his religious views as long as it is deemed to be good? I agree with him that “judgment of good character, rational reasoning and well regulated actions towards humanity are key component to happiness”. Rujuriro, Rwanda
