AS KIGALI and Kamonyi will meet in this year’s women football national league final in two-weeks time at Kigali Regional Stadium. The two teams cruised to the final after winning their semi-final clashes against The Winners and Inyemera respectively. Kamonyi, despite losing the second leg 1-0 in Gicumbi still went through to the final with a 2-1 aggregate score, having won the first leg 2-0 two weeks ago. Saida Ntagisanimana scored the opener for AS Kigali, Marie Jeanne Nyirahafashimana added a second and last season’s Player of the Year, Shadia Uwamahirwe netted the third before Ntagisanimana completed the rout with her second on the day and her team’s fourth. The final and third place play-off is scheduled to be played in two weeks’ time at Kigali Regional Stadium.
