Rayon Sports won the first game of the two-legged volleyball league semi-final playoffs against Kigali Volleyball Club played yesterday at Kimisagara Youth Sports Centre. Fidele Nyirimana’s team won the game 3-1. The Nyanza-based side won the first set 25-23 and the second set 25-16, while Kigali Volleyball Club came back in third set, winning it 25-17 but the newly formed Rayon took the decider 25-23. Both sides will meet again in second leg match at Club Rafiki ground today and KVC head coach Jean Marie Nsengiyumva said his team will be up for the second leg. “We will give everything in the second leg, we know Rayon Sport is a strong side but we will give everything we can,” he said. Rayon Sports is one point behind APR, who are leading with 42 points. APR will face INATEK in another match next weekend.
