Editor, Refer to the story, “Artistes fail to raise funds needed for ailing Nikoshwa” (The New Times, May 20). Where is that brotherhood we always sing about every day? Those artistes should have taken the first step to visit their fellow musician, but look at what they did: most of them decided not to appear for the fundraising concert. Mako Nikoshwa is in a dire condition where he needs the support of everyone who has a Good Samaritans heart to help. Lets put ourselves in his shoes and see what we could be if we dont have friends and relatives around us. With their stardom and influence in the country, local artistes shouldnt have behaved that way to a man who shared thick and thin with them. Mutara Intore, Rwanda
