Would eye surgery help me?

Dear doctor; I have had eye defects for almost a year now. I was given glasses which helps against the glare of computers and TV because when I look at such lights with the naked eye even for a minute, my left eye begins to feel heavy accompanied by a sensational pain. Previously, a spot on the retina saw a wound or so and it had pus coming out. It was treated with eyedrops but I continue to feel pain at that spot. Been using eyedrops daily for over six months now and that is along with the specs. Are there surgeries one can do to ensure ‘permanent’ repair? Sonia, 32.
