RAYON SPORT volleyball club closed the gap on leaders APR to six points after winning their three fixtures over the weekend. The Nyanza-based club registered deserved victories over Group Scolaire de Butare, Ngororero and Umubano Blue Tigers, 3-0, 3-0 and 3-0 respectively. They have now moved into second position with 36 points after playing thirteen matches this season. APR leads the standings with 42 points in fourteen matches. APR defeated Inatek 3-0 and St. Joseph 3-0 respectively. Third placed Kigali Volleyball Club (KVC) thrashed Rusumo High School and defending champions UR-Huye 3-0 and 3-0 respectively. In other matches, Inatek saw off St Joseph in a 3-0 win while Petit Seminaire Virgo Fidelis lost to Kirehe 3-0. Kirehe also registered a 3-0 win over Ngororero before the latter lost to PSVF 3-0. Elsewhere, Lycee de Nyanza beat UR-CE 3-0 while Petit Seminaire Virgo Fidelis and Lycee de Nyanza lost to Inatek 0-3, 0-3 respectively. In the women category, Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) leads the standings with 28 points, four points ahead of defending champions APR.
