SOUTHERN PROVINCE MUHANGA— Over 50 youths in Nyamabuye Sector, Muhanga district have joined the Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF) party. The group comprising of Atraco Taxi operators, footballers and members of Tubusezerere- an association of former prostitutes- declared their allegiance after undergoing various training sessions on the Party history, leadership and patriotism courses, according to Francois Uhagaze, the Nyamabuye executive secretary. The excited group was officially received into the party after taking oath on August 10, at Muhanga stadium before the RPF Muhanga congress. They were also urged to be patriotic and work towards national unity and development. Receiving the members, Fidel Ndayisaba, the governor and RPF chairman of the Southern Province, said that the contribution of the youths is a basis of Rwanda’s growth. “Every Rwandan has value in the party and the doors are open for more entrants. The efforts of the members should be evident in implementing community development through hard work and discipline,” Ndayisaba said. In a unison voice, the new entrants promised to be loyal and patriotic, live an exemplary life and work for national unity. They also committed to encourage more youth groups to join the party and duly participate in the upcoming parliamentary polls. As part of the ceremony the group played a football match among RPF teams and celebrated the achievement through chanting party victory songs. Ends
