AYC QualifierRwanda vs. Gabon (Sunday) THE Junior Wasps, head coach Richard Tardy has urged Rwandans to rally behind the national U20 team when they play Gabon on Sunday in the second round first leg match of the 2015 Africa Youth Championship. “We need everyone’s support. We have prepared well and we know Gabon is a very good side but we need fans to support our youngsters in a bid to acquire positive results,” Tardy told Times Sport yesterday. “We are expected to do better and if we can have many supporters coming out to support our players, it will be a big motivation,” added Tardy. Gabon who trained at Kigali Regional Stadium yesterday arrived in the country on Tuesday with a 23-man team under the tutelage of head coach Rigobert Nzamba. The Junior Wasps need a win before heading to Libreville for the return leg whose winner will take on the victor between Sierra Leone/Guinea and Ghana in the final qualifying round. Only seven places are up for grabs to join the hosts, Senegal for the finals tournament. The semi-finalists in Senegal will represent Africa at the 2015 Fifa U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.
