THE Circle Sportif de Kigali (CSK) surged to the summit of the national basketball league after posting deserved wins over the weekend. CSK pounced 30 Plus basketball club 104-42 on Thursday before snatching another three-digit 110-102 win over IPRC Kigali on Saturday. They went ahead and dismantled Gisenyi posting a 104-50 win on Sunday to register eleven wins in 12 matches played this season. CSK now leads the standings with 23 points. Elsewhere, the reigning champions, who have a game in hand, thrashed UR-CE BBC 106-56. The Nyamirambo-based club lies second with 22 points in eleven matches. IPRC Kigali beat United Generation Basketball Club 51-44 and UR Huye Kigali Basketball Club 70-68 while APR beat Gisenyi 42-36 and 30 Plus BBC 61-47; Rusizi hit Kigali Basketball Club 94-83 while UR-CE BBC lost to United Generation Basketball (UGB) 67-47.
