BURUNDI football federation (BFF) has summoned English Premier League duo of Saido Berahino and Gael Bigirimana ahead of their 2015 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Botswana. The current BFF boss Hon Révérien Ndikuriyo played a big role in convincing the duo to play for their motherland following his European tour in February this year. Both Berahino (West Bromwich Albion) and Bigirimana (Newcastle United) have been included in the list of 18 international players called to prepare the Burundi match. Other key professional players called up include Saido Ntibazonkiza (Cracovia, Poland), former APR striker Ndikumana Yamin Selemani (FC Tirana, Albania), Valery Nahayo (La Gantoise,Belgium),David Habarugira David (FC Brussels, Belgium) and Filose Irakoze Filose (Skellefteå ff, Sweden). Local based Rayon Sports trio of Cedric Amissi, Fuadi Ndayisenga and Karim Nizigiyimana have also been included in the summoned team alongside Tanzania-based trio of Tambwe Amissi (Simba), Didier Kavumbagu (Azam) and Gilbert Kaze (Simba). Others are Pierre Kwizera Pierre (A.F.A.D, Côte d’Ivoire), Papy Faty (Bidvest University, South Africa), Frederic Nsabiyumva (Jomo Cosmos, South Africa), Christophe Nduwarugira (FC Chibuto, Mozambique), Johane Nizeyimana (Portugal) and Jeff Nzokira (Djibouti Telecom, Djibouti). Burundi host Botswana in the first leg of the preliminary first round qualifier in the weekend of May 16-18.
