God is blessing Rwandans to bless others

This year’s commemoration (Kwibuka20) under the theme: “Remember, Unite, Renew” is a very special one because it is responsive and gives hope and comfort to Rwandans, especially the survivors of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. God is showing us that His Grace is with us just as it is often stated: “If God be with us, who can be against us?” It is clear that the CNLG team was led by the Holy Spirit when developing the pattern of words that form the theme. 1. Remember: (think, mention or record.) In Exodus 2:24, the Bible says that as a result of suffering by the Israelites in Egypt, “God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.’’ By remembering His covenant, God intervened and rescued His people from slavery. 2. Unite (call for unity): To be joined or become one promotes oneness and harmony. Unity accepts correction. Good relations and hospitality bring free expression. Throughout the Bible, the word of God states that His people should stay united. Above all, unity is a product of the cross and God’s work in Christ 3. Renew (fresh start): Kwibuka20 theme is a self-help concept for ourselves to overcome the world within us. Romans 12:2 say: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” What Paul said of himself applies to all who believe Christ: “But by the Grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them, yet not I, but the Grace of God that was with me.” It is therefore God’s Grace that Rwanda is rebuilding culturally, socially, economically, politically, morally and spiritually. This has left the whole world amazed. These are not our works but His Grace. God tells us that we are blessed to be a blessing. God is now blessing Rwandans so that we bless others.
