APR women volleyball club head coach Viateur Sibomana has promised top notch performance at the Africa Club Championships scheduled for April 17-28 in Cartage, Tunisia. Last year, APR finished in top four but Sibomana said that they want to make improvements this time round. “We are looking forward to doing the best we can in this event to make our country proud; we have had the best preparations and everyone is in good condition. We hope for a better finishing,” Sibomana told Times Sport before departure of the team. A delegation of eleven players and three officials left country on Wednesday ahead of the tournament, which will attract 16 teams. Kenya Prisons will once again defend the African Club title after winning the past four editions. The 2014 edition will not be a qualifier for the FIVB Women’s Club World Championship after Africa lost its direct vacancy.
