PR practictioners undergo training

NYARUGENGE - Members of the Public Relations Association of Rwanda (PRAR) have undergone a refresher training course to boost their professional capacity. The training was facilitated Thursday at Mille Collines Hotel, Kigali by a United Kingdom public policy specialist, Simon Nayyer. “There is nothing needed from them than putting their PR expertise in practice,” Nayyer told journalists. The call for highest standards of professional conduct among members was perceived by the PRAR Secretary General, Henry Rugamba as an investment in the bank of goodwill. “Once you invest in it you don’t withdraw immediately,” said Rugamba. Peter Malinga, the PRAR president, plans to uplift the PR reportedly practiced among underdeveloped sectors in Rwanda by enhancing the global networking system. Malinga believes that once the Rwandan PR practitioners link up with their global counterparts, modifying their ability to implement their skills will be easy. “Although this procedure is still being developed and refined, it poses an exciting possibility for them to advance in their professionalism,” he anticipated. “This is an initiative which has the potential to reduce the risk of substandard services rendered which will be good step for future feedbacks.” Ends
