RWANDA VOLLEYBALL national team skipper Christophe Mukunzi will be out of action for at least one week as he nurses an injury on his right hand got during training. Mukunzi signed a two-year contract with Algeria’s Volleyball first division El Fanar but his deal could end this season after Algeria Volleyball Federation announced it will no longer allow foreign players in their local league, starting with the forthcoming 2014/2015 season, which gets underway in May. Mukunzi moved from Qatari first division league side Al-Arabi Sports Club. He returns to the Algerian league for a second spell having featured for Blida Volleyball Club two years ago. He was an influential player for the national team, which reached the last stage of world cup qualifiers but missed the ticket after winning three games against Nigeria, Gabon and Nigeria but lost to Algeria.
