Dear editor,Much as I appreciate the aesthetic value of the new IDs, I am also afraid that they will not last long in the hands of peasants. The IDs are just too smart to be handled by villagers of any standards. My big worry therefore is that the government will have to face a number of cases of people who lose their IDs. They are small and too slippery to be handled in all environments. My advice is that people should be allowed to move around with photocopies so that in case they lose them, then an alternative copy can be got. NYANZA
