Miss Geek People’s choice awards ICT enthusiasts and those interested will have a fun Women’s Day as all roads will lead to Lemigo Hotel for the first edition of Ms. Geek Rwanda. Miss Geek Rwanda is a competition for Rwandan women encouraging them to showcase their knowledge and skills in ICT. People have been voting since November and the winners will be announced on Saturday. The ceremony starts at 6:00pm and entrance is free. Concert R n’ B crooner and ladies favourite, Bruce Melody, will be launching his maiden album on Women’s day at Serena Hotel. The concert dubbed “NDUMIWE” will run from 5:30pm until midnight. He will be accompanied by Ugandan artiste Jamal and his fellow Rwandan artistes including Mani Martin, Uncle Austin, Mico and Fireman. Entrance fee is Rwf 5000 for general seats Rwf10,000 VIP. Hangouts Meze Fresh Restaurant hosts daily happy hour(s) from 3pm – 6pm and 9pm – 11pm. There’s live music every Friday. In Kiyovu, Republika Restaurant offers Happy Hour discounts on Saturdays only for certain food and drinks and meanwhile you can munch on free bruschetta bread while you wait for your meal.
