The champions got their goals through Hyacinthe Uwigeneye (5, 20, 32, 65), Hamida Murekatete (1, 8, 17), Aime Tuyizere (14, 51, 61), Oliver Mboneza (30, 67, 88) Francine Nziyosenga (53) and Edith Umulisa (84). After the game, APR were handed the league trophy by the local football federation Chief Executive Officer Jules Kalisa and a cheque of Frw1 million, courtesy of Ferwafa. APR assistant coach Egidia Kayitesi expressed her delight for winning the league in their debut season. Kayitesi has been in charge since head coach Ramadthan Kiiza went for a coaching course in Germany about a month a go. And after the last game, she said, “I am happy to have won the league as (acting) head coach but what impresses me more is my ability to defeat teams that are coached by male coaches” she stressed. During her time in temporary charge, APR played six matches and won all. Musanze, despite winning their last game 2-0 against Gakenke, finished 14 points behind the champions and bagged Frw0.5 million. APR strikers Hyacinthe Uwigeneye and Oliver Mboneza finished the season as top scorers with 21 and 18 goals respectively. Ends
