My counterfeit Clarks!

I don’t know if you have heard of Clarks before - these are shoes that have been on the market for a very long time and are loved by many. Well, I felt it was time to get myself a pair before I run out of time on earth. I mean, why not wear a nice pair of shoes for the first time in my life? Blinded by my obsession with the brand, I forgot about the goons that spend a good amount of time making counterfeit products, fooling us into buying what we think are genuine products. So anyway, I decided to go to the market to window shop as I didn’t have the money to buy anything. Many of you may wonder how I window shop in the market. Well, we are all different. You know how some people have dinner and breakfast at Serena and others in some sketchy joint in Nyamirambo? Yeah, you might window shop at KCT but I do it at the market! So anyway, strangely I met a guy selling Clarks at Rwf18, 000. From the ones I had seen online, there was a huge reduction in the price. I quickly looked at the label and it seemed real. I run back to school and borrowed money from all angles as Rwf18, 000 is not that easy to sketch among campusers. Without even thinking of how I will pay it back, I run back to the market and paid for the shoes. I kept the shoes like I was protecting a precious stone. Don’t laugh but sometimes I even slept with them in my bed just in case thieves broke in. I even imagined that my roommate would one day run away with my shoes, so I tightened the security. One day I decided to wear the shoes to a party. I was told many cute ladies would be there. With a lot of confidence and the thought that everyone was going to look at my shoes, I left. I sat on a table with many cute ladies and you can imagine the fun. The problem came in when one lady asked me to dance with her and when I got up, one leg seemed shorter.
