Dear Editor, As I listened yesterday on Rwanda’s national television, I thought this could not wait a day longer. I believe the new Report on France’s involvement in the 1994 Rwandan genocide is yet to create a lot of friction. This will be if France fails to apologize for her involvement. However, with the many questions left to be answered, clear and accurate answers from France are expected. In the report, a lot of evidence is present and many names are exposed of the guilty French men. With this, I am left speculating on the response that France will have. On the other hand, Rwanda is currently involved and actively enforcing reconciliation and unity. This makes me wonder if any progress in reconciliation and unity is possible in case friction develops because of France’s exposure in her crimes against Rwanda. Now, for the sakes of a healthy relationship between France and Rwanda, France should come clean and apologize. This will greatly help with reconciliation in Rwanda and the French will no longer have any problems with Rwanda as a nation. KIGALI
