Children, did you know that having good morals is important in our everyday life? Morality refers to ideas about what is right and wrong and how a person should behave. Children with good morals will respect themselves and others as well. Respecting and being obedient to your elders is something every child should do. Children with good morals also appreciate whatever little they have. They do not cheat or take what is not theirs. They are always generous, honest, trustworthy and patient with others. Every child needs to know that good morals are like guidelines in the lives of every person living in the world. God will always guide well-behaved children in whatever they do. When you do wrong, always pray and ask God for forgiveness no matter which religion you belong to. Sometimes children will make fun of their friends, gossip, act proud, brag or boast. These are not good morals at all. However, a child who uses words like “Thank you”, “I’m sorry”, “Excuse me”, is usually called well-behaved. These words may appear to be small words but they will save you a lot of trouble. They are a sign of respect and discipline. Lastly, learn to help those who are in need by being good friends with them. There is always joy in helping others. Ends
