Rwanda Olympic bound athletes have been cautioned against doping in their attempts to win medals in the quadrennial event set to open in Beijing, China on Friday. The team’s contingent to the game has also been warned against involvement in misconducts that may lead them to be banned and prosecuted in the foreign land. Rwanda team head coach Innocent Rwabuhihi told Times Sport on Sunday that athletes have been cautioned against vices that would lead to negative publicity about Rwanda in China. “Every athlete in camp has been cautioned bad behavior. And no athlete is supposed to carry any medications without the approval of the team doctor so as to limit doping occurrences,” Rwabuhihi said. Rwanda goes to Beijing with only four athletes, including two runners and two swimmers. Dieudonne Disi (10.000m), Epiphanie Nyirabarame (marathon), Pamela Girimbabazi and Jackson Niyomugabo (swimming) are the only athletics who have qualified for the Games. Ends
