Nigeria's Afrofusion sensation, Burna Boy, continues to make headlines not only for his chart-topping music but also for his opulent taste in jewellery. The artiste recently unveiled a stunning new chain with a pendant, reportedly worth a staggering $1 million (over Rwf1.1 billion), adding to his jewellery collection. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the chain took 9 months to create. The design and creation were masterminded by A Jewelers, a UK-based jewellery store and design business known for catering to a clientele of celebrities, including the likes of Gunna, Swae Lee, Wizkid, Central Cee, Skepta, Paul Pogba, and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, among others. Not stopping there, the artist also flaunted two custom diamond rings, with one featuring a miniature Grammy award embedded on its sides. Abtin Abbasi, CEO of A Jewelers, expressed his excitement in a YouTube video as he introduced the exceptional chain, he said: this piece is crafted for an exceptional individual, a global superstar of international stature. The chain is a true work of art, comprising 100 GIA (Gemological Institute of America) certified diamonds, all graded as excellent on their quality scale,” Abbasi said. The intricately crafted chain features an array of diamond cuts, including chandelier settings, shape cut ingot baguettes, emerald cuts, asher cuts, and princess cuts, all meticulously arranged in a hexagon honeycomb pattern. 210 carats of VVS diamonds, complemented by an additional 40 carats of GIA diamonds, contribute to the chain's dazzling brilliance. Burna Boy is currently making waves with his latest album titled I Told Them, and he's notably one of the top nominees for the Trace Awards. He’s expected to be present at the awards ceremony set to take place in Kigali, Rwanda on Saturday, October 21.
