Rwanda’s Rayon Sports and Sudanese giants Al Merrikh will go head to head in an international club friendly on September 3 as part of the pair’s preparations for the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup competitions. The game, which will take place in a yet to be confirmed venue, is organized by the Nyanza District in partnership with FXB Rwanda as part of the campaign to fight against child abuse and teenage pregnancy. Al Merrikh are currently based in Huye District and have been training at Huye Stadium which currently serves as their home ground for their CAF Champions League campaign due to the political unrest in Sudan. The Sudanese champions hosted AS Otoho 'Oyo on Friday at the same ground and eliminated them on away goal rule to go through to the next round.
