STRIKER Jerome Sina has been offered a two-year deal at Police FC following a stint with FC Lupopo in DR Congo. The development was confirmed on Tuesday by Police FC club secretary general CIP Jean de Dieu Mayira. “We signed him from FC Lupopo. He started training on Monday and will be available for the weekend match against Gicumbi,” added Mayira. Sina unceremoniously left defending champions Rayon Sports two years before he ended up at FC Lupopo. The arrival of Sina is a big boost for Coach Sam Ssimbwa who is gunning to win the Turbo King Football League. So far his side has scored the most goals in 14 matches played with lead strikers Peter Kagabo, Jacques Tuyisenge and Kipson Atuheire netting twenty nine goals in total.Sina played for Rayon Sports for two seasons before heading to FC Lupopo without the club’s permission, a feat which saw him banned. At the start of the 2013/14 Turbo King Football league season, Sina resurfaced claiming that his contract with Rayon Sports had expired and was on verge of joining AS Muhanga as a free agent. However, Rayon Sports held onto him claiming that the player still has unfinished business with the Nyanza-based club. Besides Sina, the Cops side has also been boosted with the recent signing of Sec Academy goalie Steven Ntalibi, former Marines and Etincelles midfielder Moussa Habimana and Julius Mucyaba from Express of Uganda, all on two year-deals.Police is ranked fourth on the Turbo King Football League ladder with 27 points, six points behind leaders APR, five behind second placed Rayon Sports.
