National volleyball team skipper Flavier Ndamukunda was recently shown the exit by his club INATEK (Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Education), club officials have confirmed.Ngoma district-based INATEK officially handed the player with a formal letter allowing him to look for another club after the former APR attacker repeatedly missed training, according to INATEK vice chairman Laurent Ngarambe.“We decided to let him move on because he seemed not to be part of this club; he has been missing training as well as club activities without informing anyone,” Ngarambe told Times Sport on Monday.Ndamukunda is currently in residential camp with the national team at la Palisse hotel where they are preparing for the final round of the 2014 World Championships qualifiers scheduled for February 12-18 in Cameroon. One of Rwanda’s elite volleyballers, Ndamukunda, who joined INATEK early last year, had previously featured for Petit Seminaire Virgo Fidelis Karubanda, GSO Butare, Kigali Volleyball Club (KVC), APR, Lycee de Nyanza and Algeria’s side Al Mahia.Meanwhile, INATEK, who joined the national league last season, have strengthened their squad with two new players; left attacker Adolphe Mutoni from APR and right attacker Patrick Akamuntu (Flavier Ndamukunda’s young brother) from Lycee de Nyanza.
