The song draws inspiration from bible verses, particularly the lines “Our father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven...”. Produced by -X on the beat’ and directed by -Julien Bmjizzo, the song carries a deeply spiritual message. Umutima – France Mpundu ‘Umutima’ by Rwandan singer France Mpundu, the winner of ‘I am the future 2019’, is a captivating banger that beautifully encapsulates her yearning to experience love with the person to whom she dedicates the song. The banger exudes an infectious and lively vibe, making it perfect for dancing. Mpundu, a rising singer, has proven her talent with hit songs like ‘Gake’, ‘Shwaty’, ‘Sinabirota’, ‘Darling’ a feature in the late Buravan’s work to mention but a few. She deserves more attention as a promising upcoming artiste. In this song, Bwiza beautifully conveys the feeling of being deeply in love with someone, strong connection and affection for the one they love. The line ‘carry me, I am yours’ expresses the desire to be embraced and held close by their beloved. The ‘I am ready’, ‘Pain killer’, ‘Soja’ hit maker is also among the five Rwandans artists nominated for the Trace awards slated for October 21. It captures the essence of women who are capable of making their own choice and pursuing their desires without hesitation.
