Dear editor,The recently concluded awards given to the best performing girls in ICT should be a stepping stone for the rest of the country. Lots of new schemes and projects have been launched in Rwanda to further the education of girls. These are intended to discourage and change the long believed attitude that the place of a female is in the kitchen. This is one of those mentalities that make poverty eradication difficult. With education of the girl child, a lot is to be expected especially in the view of a brighter future. Imbuto Foundation, just one of the many organizations that help in the education of girls, should maintain the focus and purpose it has in its mission. By being a leading example to the rest of Rwandans, Imbuto foundation should keep its standard high. GISOZI
