RWANDA’S NATIONAL football team, Amavubi Stars moved three places from 133rd to 130th in the latest Fifa World ranking released yesterday.Amavubi last played a competitive match during the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup in their quarterfinal match which they lost to hosts and eventual winners Kenya in December. Amavubi secured 198 points and improved one place to 39th in African rankings.Uganda remains the top ranked nation in the region despite dropping one place to 87th in the world and 22nd in Africa, followed by Ethiopia who also dropped two places to 95th in the world and 24th in Africa.Kenya remain unmoved in 109th position in the world and 32nd in CAF, while Tanzania improved two places to 118th in the world and 34th in Africa.Sudan also remained unmoved at 119th in the world and 35th in Africa and Burundi is ranked 124th in the world and 37th in Africa.Ivory Coast is ranked highest in Africa and 17th in the world, while Ghana, Algeria and Egypt follow suit in second, third and fourth position respectively.There was no movement whatsoever in the top 25, with Spain still holding a comfortable lead over Germany and Argentina.
