Yours truly has been helping a friend get to the top of his A-game with a beauty (not that he is a pimp) but out of courtesy. The results were continuously futile and just as he was about to give up and declare his friend “cursed” in the field of dating, he got his eureka moment. Well, if you can get a job, rent a house, drive a car and you are not gay, you can get a lady but what is the problem when they get stuck? Here are some reasons some men don’t get hitched and this list is not subject to debate. Lack of ambitionYou’ve been working as a waiter at a local restaurant for 10 years now and you expect a lady you’ve been serving for the past five years to move out with you? Aspire to something better and it doesn’t include picking up the most tips left on tables. Ditch the “bad boy” lookOversized t-shirt (with ROCA WEAR inscribed at the front), baggy-faded jeans, over-sized basket shoes, white socks….dude, unless you are a member of Ibisumizi group or stuck in puberty, this is a no-go zone. Dress like a gentleman and not like a Tupac zombie. She’s your woman, not your motherMost guys seem not to know when to make a distinction between these two. Stop comparing her to your mother or whimpering a lot. References to how your mother does this or does that are a huge turn-off. Get a life and be responsible30 years and you are still in your parent’s basement, really? So, when will you man-up and get a life? Women don’t go for dependent men and don’t even think that going to a cousin’s or friend’s place is a much better option, maybe for convenience purposes.She is human not a psychicNow, some guys tend to think that since women can multi-task, they can as well figure out what he’s thinking. Get serious!! She’ll not figure out if it’s just a fling or if it’s serious. Subtle hints don’t work in some areas and you don’t want her drawing her own conclusion. Be a gentlemanShe’s not your bar-buddy, cousin or casual friend. Treat her with respect, walk beside her and hold her arm, hold the car or house door for her, pull a chair for her at the restaurant and listen to her. Let her know that you were raised, not “reared”.
